There is NOTHING WRONG with producing and exporting planes, missiles, ships, etc. with high levels of ADVANCED foreign components.

Wasting money on trying to catch up with high-performance engines is a dead-end IMOAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726844009873922462.post-79491306874897919532021-12-04T01:10:27.695-08:002021-12-04T01:10:27.695-08:00Enjoy reading all the articles. This way the basic engine will stablise and become more reliable. In the meantime as and when the technological breakthrough is obtained for higher power, it would be simpler to induct as the basic issues would have been ironed out.
One major change required in policy is also ther it should be made mandatory for all research and development labs to compulsorily transfer the systems and technology to industries including dpsus in non mutually exclusive way for them to further develop and produce civil as well as military spinoffs from the acquired technologies and systems.
This can be implemented through open auctions for Indigenous industries.
Long term systems partnership with leading companies in related systems should be done by drdo labs with the nominated educational institutions as copartners for advancement of systems and technologies.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726844009873922462.post-6020980237437122512021-12-03T10:37:02.213-08:002021-12-03T10:37:02.213-08:00imho, it is near impossible to create a truly high...imho, it is near impossible to create a truly high performance engine in the first attempt. a lot of engine designs have lineages and evolution history. very few of these engines would have go there without the evolution path. successfully deploying and operating an engine is critical to improving it (assuming the engine is fundamentally stable and sound.) If atall possible, indigenous engines can be used in trainers and other non-frontline aircraft to aid that evolution and development. macroeconomic benefits are plentiful too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8726844009873922462.post-80183276996116599142021-12-03T00:56:52.033-08:002021-12-03T00:56:52.033-08:00I am glad you are highlighting this issue. It would appear the military leadership is generally reactive. China has light tanks? oh no, lets get the Sprut. Here is a place where an attack helicopter with anti tank weaponry would be a reasonable counter as opposed to an ill thought out light tank acquisition. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
